Wednesday treble for Rafeef

Ridgemont’s red hot resident sire Rafeef had a trio of impressive winners at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Wednesday.
Rafeef sired runners won races three, four and five at the “Country Course” on Wednesday, with all three runners looking above average.

The Ridgemont resident’s three-year-old son All The Rage made it three wins from five starts when he won the Join The Race Coast Turf Club Progress Plate (1250m).
The well supported colt justified strong pre-race strong support when storming home, under Aldo Domeyer, to account for G1 Gold Medallion winner Good For You by a long neck.

Trained by Candice Bass, All The Rage was making his first start since winning a juvenile plate back in July.
The Millstream Farm bred colt races for Messrs GN Shirtliff & MJ Shirtliff, Mrs Vanashree & Mr Anant Singh, GreenacresTrust and Team Valor International.

Third in last season’s G3 Winter Nursery, All The Rage, who is out of the Al Mufti mare Gilded Minaret, was a R1 600 000 buy from the 2024 National Yearling Sale.

Rafeef’s next success came when his son Beware won the www.racecoast.co.za Maiden Plate for Lucinda Woodruff and Richard Fourie.
Owned by Hollywood Racing, the three-year-old defied his poor draw when storming home to shed his maiden by a length.

Bred by Ridgemont Highlands, Beware, who was making just his second start on Wednesday, is out of the Fastnet Rock mare Andiazi.

Rafeef looks to have come up with a potentially top-class filly in the form of Reet Petite. The latter made it two wins from two starts with an impressive display in Wednesday’s Race Coast Incentives Powered By Hollywoodbets Class 5 (F and M) (1500m).
Under a confident ride from Richard Fourie, the James Crawford trained three-year-old came from a long back to get up and win, going away, by two and a quarter lengths.
A smart winner on debut, the Ridgemont Highlands bred Reet Petite races for her breeder in partnership with Devin Heffer.
