The well bred Piemonte-bred daughter of Rafeef, Troppo Veloce, got her much deserved Black Type when winning the Swallow Stakes Listed on the weekend for trainer Sean Tarry and owner Mr De Lange.
It was the consistent grey filly’s fourth career win, having only been out of the money on one occasion. By Rafeef out of Elusive Quality mare Aljahwarra, her Black Type half sister is Nawaasi, who placed in the Gardenia.
Sold for R150 000 off the 2022 National Yearling Sale, the filly sold for R250 000 off the Fortune Racing June Sale. She has earned R383,750 to date.
Troppo Veloce, whose name translates from Italian to ‘too fast’, is now a winner of 4 races with 3 places from 9 starts.
