Top-class filly Pretty Young Thing has been retired to stud, and will join Ridgemont Highlands’ growing band of top-class mares.
Connections are planning to send the daughter of Ridgemont’s multiple G1 winning stallion Jackson to either the farm’s boom sire Rafeef, who has made such a big splash with his first runners this season, or to five-time G1 winner, and fellow Ridgemont resident, Canford Cliffs, whose first local crop were extremely well received this season at the yearling sales.

Described by connections as “tough, hardy, competitive and who always ran to her best”, Pretty Young Thing claimed a notable scalp when she defeated her G1 World Sports Betting Cape Fillies Guineas winner stablemate Front And Centre, now also at Ridgemont Highlands, in the 2020 G3 Vasco Da Gama Prix Du Cap (footage below).
