Monday Double For Rafeef

Ridgemont Highlands’ outstanding young stallion Rafeef has had a wonderful season in 2021-2022 and the G1 winning son of legendary sire Redoute’s Choice was at it again on Monday when Rafeef supplied two more winners at Hollywoodbets Greyville.

Rafeef kicked on Monday’s card in perfect fashion when his three-year-old daughter Beaded Gown won the first race at Greyville.

Trained, like her sire, by Mike de Kock, Beaded Gown was given a front running ride by Muzi Yeni as the pair combined to land the Download The Race Card Online www.goldcircle.co.za Maiden Plate (1000m).
Unlucky last time out, Beaded Gown made no mistakes on Monday as she powered away to score by two and a half lengths.

Bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, Beaded Gown is out of the Tiger Ridge mare Fortuny.

Rafeef’s second success on Monday came when his gelded son National Dream lifted the third race Follow The Box Seat Podcast Maiden Plate (2000m).

Trained by Alyson Wright, National Dream hit the front 250m from home and he stayed on nicely to score by nearly two and three-quarter lengths.

Bred by Riethuiskraal Stud (who also bred Rafeef’s outstanding dam National Colour), National Dream had finished second last time out.

The three-year-old is out of the Daylami mare Zemfira -herself a half-sister to the aforementioned National Colour!

South Africa’s Leading Second Season, by some way, for 2021-2022, Rafeef is set to be represented in Saturday’s G1 Hollywoodbets Durban July by his G1 WSB SA Derby winning son Aragosta.
