Ridgemont Highlands look to have an exciting prospect in the form of Going Up. The latter, a homebred daughter of Gimmethegreenlight, made a big impression when making an eye catching, winning debut at Kenilworth on Saturday afternoon.
Trained by Candice Bass-Robinson (who had also captured the first race on the card), Going Up came up with a late rattle to win Saturday’s Tabonline.co.za Maiden Plate (1200m) in taking style.
Under Anton Marcus, the three-year-old exploded into action close home, with Going Up storming home to score by an emphatic two and a half lengths

By South Africa’s reigning champion sire Gimmethegreenlight, Going Up has plenty to recommend her on pedigree.
The filly is a full-sister to G3 Prix Du Cap winner Rose In Bloom, whose five career wins also included triumphs in both the Listed Irridescence Stakes and Listed Gardenia Handicap.
Going Up is out of the eight time winning Goldkeeper mare Raise The Bar, victorious in the Listed Nkosazanza Stakes.
Saturday’s impressive debut winner sports the talented racemare Eternal Dancer as her third dam, with the latter a winner of 12 races including the G3 Champagne Stakes.
