There are high hopes for the unbeaten Jin Jin, a daughter of Ridgemont Highlands’ five time G1 winning stallion Canford Cliffs.

A fluent, two and a half length winner of the G2 Grosser Aengevelt Immobilien-Preis- Badener Meile at Dusseldorf on Sunday, Jin Jin’s connections are hoping to run the five-year-old in one of Europe’s most prestigious races for fillies and mares, the G1 Prix Rothschild at Deauville.

The Prix Rothschild, first run in 1929 and originally known as the Prix d’Astarte, has been won by some outstanding fillies and mares over the years, with past winners including Goldikova (who won it four times), Luth Enchantee, Elusive Kate, Hatoof, Divine Proportions, Laurens and subsequent top broodmare Elle Seule.

Now unbeaten in seven outings, Jin Jin’s four black type wins include a score in last year’s G3 Prix Perth.

Jin Jin is one of a number of top-class fillies sired by Canford Cliffs, Europe’s Champion Older Miler of 2011.

Notable fillies sired by Canford Cliffs include the group/graded stakes winners Al Jazi, Fish River, La Falaise, Most Beautiful, Princess Asta and Princess Posh.

Canford Cliffs has three fillies on the upcoming Cape Thoroughbred Sales Farm Yearling Sale, including a filly (Lot 10) out of a half-sister to graded stakes winners Eight Street and Ottimo, a filly (Lot 23) out of a stakes winning daughter of National Assembly, and a filly (Lot 116) from the family of champion filly Taghrooda.
